Haikus in the pandemic

From the comic to the tragic with a hoard of riff raff observations strewed in between. As such was the pandemic, right?

In the pandemic
People hoarded toilet roll
Do you remember?

In the pandemic
Behind closed shop shutters
I heard people laugh

In the pandemic
A man named George was murdered
The whole World witnessed

In the pandemic
We cheered the brave NHS
Bob the postman shrugged

In the pandemic
Siblings went outside to play
Sometimes adults too

In the pandemic
Trump lost Texas
Biden licks his lips

In the pandemic
People bought all the lentils
They don’t want to eat

In the pandemic
Some blew grandparents kisses
Others said goodbye.
